Would you like to be more involved in the current CBC Community? We would love our Old Collegians to support and engage with our students in their learning and development. Please contact us at oldcollegians@stmaryscollege.vic.edu.au if you are interested in:

  • Work Experience Support– Year 10 boys complete a week of Work Experience in late June. Placements in any business or work place would be valuable and greatly appreciated.
  • VCAL Work Placements– Senior Students completing VCAL (the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) require a work placement that aligns with their chosen Vocational Education course. Students attend school from Monday to Thursday and undertake a work placement on Fridays. Placements and support for VCAL students would greatly assist with their learning and development.
  • Careers Speakers– Do you have industry knowledge and experience to share? Our CBC Teachers welcome Old Collegians who can speak to their classes and impart valuable knowledge and advice. If you would like to speak to a class group please contact us at oldcollegians@cbcstkilda.com
  • Young Mentors Program– Old Collegians aged from 19 to 24 who are currently studying at university or are working are always welcome to visit and share their experiences with our boys. As you can imagine this information is of enormous benefit to our CBC students.  Mentoring sessions can take place in Pastoral Periods which occur on some Tuesday mornings.
  • CBC Sport Support– If you are interested in watching and supporting our sport teams please see the calendar of our sporting events click here
  • Archiving– Over the course of 140 years we have taken many photos and built quite a history! We’re gradually working through scanning images and our Loquax Ludi yearbooks. Volunteers who wish to assist with scanning and help us identify students in old photos would be greatly appreciated. Old Collegians who spend time on the College grounds will be subject to some child safety requirements.
  • Social Events– we’ve had fantastic participation in our Reunions in recent years. These are held for year groups every 5 or 10 years with dates here: EVENTS LINK. We also have other social events that Old Collegians are welcome to attend such as; Annual ANZAC Ceremony (Old Collegians who have served are very welcome to be speakers at the event), Parents and Friends Trivia Night Fundraiser, College Production, Bands Aplenty Night and Visual and Performing Arts Showcase. Dates are available on our calendar here (use the search function-it’s a very full calendar!):
